Professor of economics, Jon Fiva at the Norwegian Business School (BI) will give a talk on how electoral rules shape party systems.

Jon Fiva is a professor of economics at the  Norwegian Business School (BI), also affiliated with ESOP at the University of Oslo. His research lies in the intersection between political economy and applied microeconomics. He currently studies questions such as: Does political power self-perpetuate? Do parties in power direct spending to the hometowns of its representatives? Why did Europe adopt proportional representation?
